Crowned Head Paintings

The crowned head paintings of Donna Hatcher range from large scale, 72 x 48 inch, oil and mixed media paintings, to small 8 x 10 inch oils, acrylic and water based media on canvas and paper. Found throughout her paintings are these soulful, colorful, abstracted faces adorned with dripping paint and tall crowns, projecting an uneasy yet alluring and captivating presence. Most of these works were part of a series exhibited at Olive Tjaden Gallery, Cornell University and other locations throughout Ithaca, New York
